The Power Of Statement Accessories ft. Vena – The Goddess Experience

I’m genuinely so excited to write this post in collaboration with Vena! So let me just get straight into the tea on Vena – The Goddess Experience . . .

ABOUT VENA

Vena, a Trinidad born brand formerly known as Fashion Evolution, launched in 2011. It is a Caribbean powered accessory brand that offers hand made, one of a kind, statement accessories. Vena is a brand that represents the allure of women’s beauty through the roots of Caribbean Heritage. Each piece effortlessly brings out the confidence and beauty of it’s muse, captivating the very essence of the Caribbean Woman.

Vena launched their new Carnival Collection on Saturday 26th January 2019. This collection incorporates all the glam, colours and vibrancy of Trinidad Carnival in each piece. Perfect for Fete Season! I AM IN LOVE!

WHY IS A STATEMENT PIECE PERFECT FOR THE CARNIVAL SEASON?

If you live in Trinidad & Tobago (T&T), you know it’s CARNIVAL SEASON! That means fetes and more fetes! Trinidad Carnival season is all about glam, colours, vibrancy and energy! The boldness of a beautifully crafted statement piece fits right into the theme of the season and can, without much effort, make your fete wear stand out. I recently attended a themed Carnival event and was captivated by the beautiful ensembles. However, there were the select few that really drew me in by the way they were notably accessorized and worn.

This collection by Vena embodies the beauty and culture of Carnival, while staying true to what the brand represents.

Carnival season is the one season – after Christmas – that most, if not all Trinis, eagerly anticipate at the start of the new year. If you are a true Carnival baby, I can’t imagine why you would not want to go all out! LOL! A good statement piece can do so much for your style in such effortless fashion. Statement pieces can immediately add versatility to any outfit;

  • It allows you to switch up a single ensemble to suit different settings
  • It exudes an aura of confidence from the wearer even in the most casual outfit
  • It effortlessly pulls an entire ensemble together
  • It aids to easily accessorize an already bold ensemble
  • It does exactly what its suppose to do – MAKE A STATEMENT!

Check out how I incorporated some bold pieces from Vena’s Carnival Collection to amp up this little black dress.

I love the irony portrayed in each of these earrings. They both possess relatively simplistic designs which I love. However, the use of the colours, size and elements make for a perfect mix of elegance and exuberance. This seamlessly adds boldness and a touch of the Carnival spirit to such a classic and timeless piece as the little black dress!
